We stumbled across Mirtiotissia beach and the kids were instantly in love. It’s a small beach but seems to be free from tourists. We stayed late one evening and the Elia restaurant had live music on, which you could hear from the beach. It really put us in the holiday mood. During the day the children loved to sit on the sand and built sandcastles – whilst I found it great for sunbathing.

I am so proud of my grandson. He is taking his dreams into his hands and running with them. He wants to explore the world, so now he is backpacking across Europe. He wants to see everything before he settles down and gets married. I am proud of him for following his dream even though many people told him he could not do it. He is so happy right now, and he writes me to tell me about his adventures all the time.
