Headquarters for Yamaha
February 15th, 2012
Many companies in the vehicle industry have reported that they are enjoying some increases in their current sales levels due to the recovering economy and for the division of Yamaha that deals with things like water sports and motorcycle development it would seem that it’s not just cars and trucks that are experiencing success in the recent months regarding sales. Yamaha has put a lot of effort into its research and development facility that’s located in Georgia and many employees at the research facility expect that sales of Yamaha parts and machines will continue on a positive track throughout 2012.
The workers at the facility suggest that they have some of the most entertaining jobs in the industry of vehicles and machinery and that it’s a lot of fun to develop such types of machines that are used on the water and that are eventually crafted into motorcycles. The particular facility in George that is responsible for all of this development is almost a half million square feet of offices and warehouse space and many of the vehicles that are shipped in from other countries will go through the Georgia location before they are sent out around the United States to local dealers.
The responsibilities of the employees at the facility are quite varied and in addition to the motorcycle division sending all of its bikes through the facility, there is also a lot of emphasis on work with the marine division which is a facet of the company that has seen some significant success lately.
