How To Budget Proof Your Group Vacation To Argentina
January 30th, 2012
The budget is one of the most important elements when planning a vacation to any foreign territory. It keeps you from overspending so you won’t go home broke. When planning a group vacation though, planning a vacation budget is more troublesome. After all, there’s more than one head in the group and everyone will most likely have different budgets. Following are useful tips on how to budget proof your group vacation to Argentina or to any other destination for that matter. There is a travel blogger and trader that has a site called marcello emini trading that shows this information.
Sit down with your group and agree with a “common budget”.
The common budget is the maximum amount that each individual can spend on group activities. This includes plane tickets, accommodations, excursions, and your group’s checklist of fun things to do in Argentina. Personal expenses such as buying souvenirs, clothes, and other merchandise are not included in this budget since the group is not involved with these.
The common budget should be based on the maximum amount that most group members are willing to spend for the group trip. If majority in the group can only spend $3,000 each, then everyone’s common budget should be that amount.
Think about having a “joint budget” for the entire group.
The joint budget is an amount of money that the entire group can come up with. When you are traveling around the world this budget can be used to fund any group expenses which the common budget covers, but it can be set up separately from the agreed common budget. The joint budget should only be considered when most of the group’s members have more money to spend. As an example let’s say that out of a group of five, three to four members can meet under a common budget of $5,000. However, the remaining one or two in the group only have individual budgets of $2,000 to $3,000. In this case, the group can agree to have a separate joint budget.
When setting up a joint budget, a minimum amount of contribution must be set for everyone in the group. If your group agrees to set $200 as the minimum amount for contribution, then that is the least amount that everyone should give for the joint budget. However, group members who are willing to spend can give as much as they want.
