I can remember my first overseas trip, standing at Sydney airport and looking out the window thinking that this was probably the only chance I was ever going to get to travel overseas and that I had better make the most of it. Although I only went to California, I did take the time to visit many tourist locations in Los Angeles and San Francisco, including Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Fisherman’s Wharf and more, so I did make sure that if I have had another overseas trip again, I would remember this trip in a very good way. Well as luck would have it I ended up making many overseas trips in my working life, not only to USA, but to many other locations around the world including UK, Europe, Canada, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and more. It has been a very wonderful experience and now I look forward each time to my overseas trips in my senior years with just as much enthusiasm and expectation as I did on that first trip. I know that with health now a more significant concern I do take care to ensure that I will be covered if something does go wrong. I take out a seniors travel insurance policy from the MyCover Travel Insurance website at www.mycover.com.au as soon as I have my travel plans confirmed and booked, and then I can also have my minor healthy issues covered by taking out the additional cover for a pre-existing medical condition. MyCover has cheap travel insurance by comparison to others, so this additional cover makes the overall policy still very reasonable and within my travel budget.
