The 2012 Festival Season: Croatian British or Spain Holidays?
September 28th, 2011
Have you thought about where you want to go next year? Perhaps you’ve been tempted by some Spain holidays. Festivals tend to sell out really quickly these days, so it might be an idea to start planning you’re trip now. Getting a solid group together for a festival is always a bit of a challenge. Everyone tends to be in different minds, and this can sometimes lead to a split in the group. You can try to avoid this by starter out as a small group. Once you’ve book your ticket others will usually follow suit. All you need to do is get the ball rolling!
So, most importantly – where to? Croatia seems to be all the rage these days, and the island is pretty much a festival haven for the entire duration of the summer holidays. Everything from Outlook to the Secret Garden Festival, Hideout and Stop Making Sense all all based here. It seems to be the place to visit in the summer so you should do your research and see what’s on offer.
Melt festival in Berlin is a great choice, and having been there for three years in a row, I can admit that it is definitely up there in terms of competition. I’m intruiged by a festival called Boom in Portugal, which I think would be epic.
British festival are often very popular, but you can never guarentee it being wartm and sunny. I think Spain festivals are a great idea as you know it will be gorgeous weather. A trip down south to enjoy Costa Brava holidays would be a great way to start or end your festival bash!
