Visit Teide National Park on Tenerife Holidays

April 26th, 2011

Those looking for something a little different on their holidays this summer may want to consider Tenerife. Not only does the island boast fantastic weather and spectacular scenery, but it is also home to the Teide National Park. The park, which opened in 1954, offers some stunning sights for those on Tenerife holidays away from the hustle and bustle of the busy beaches and vibrant nightlife. The park is the most visited tourist attraction in the Canaries and includes a huge volcanic crater, out of which rises Mount Teide. At a staggering 3,718 metres tall, it is the largest mountain in the whole of Spain. From the park you’ll be able to experience breathtaking views of Gran Canaria, La Palma and La Gomera.
